Want to write about Good Tape?
Good Tape began in a Copenhagen newsroom where manual transcription was slowing real journalism down. Hours were lost to rewinding, re listening, and typing interviews that should have taken minutes to process.
What started as a simple internal tool built by a few frustrated journalists and technologists quickly grew into a global platform used by reporters, researchers, legal teams, consultants, and creators around the world.

Good Tape has been featured in dozens of international articles covering the future of AI transcription, security first technology, and the rise of focused, bootstrapped companies. Our founder, Lasse Finderup, is known for speaking openly about building a global product without venture capital, the responsibility of modern tech teams, and the importance of AI safety in tools that handle sensitive information.
Lasse regularly contributes insights on trust, data protection, and the future of professional workflows, and he is available for interviews, commentary, and op eds. Journalists and editors are welcome to reach out to him directly

Good Tape leads to good things
At Good Tape, we firmly believe that we should also do good for the world. Since we have a platform that gets millions of views, we have a responsibility to use it to help amplify the voices that need to be heard. Journalists are the truth bearers and they are needed now more than ever.
We started the Good Tape Grant in 2026 together with our “Names” campaign as an initiative to uncover the stories that shape our world, and to give a voice to the voiceless. We want to help journalists in developing countries, or fund stories from people who don’t have stable newsroom resources behind them.
