Most of what your organization knows is never written down

It gets said out loud, in an interview, a client meeting, a board session, a handover on someone’s last day. Then it sits in one person’s head and one audio file nobody opens again. The Good Tape app records that spoken half and transcribes it. Explore makes it searchable across the organization, once it is shared.

You do not start from an empty archive either. Switching Explore on indexes everything already in your account, at no extra usage cost and with nothing to upload again.

Today
An AI surrounded by eight sources. Documents, mail, the wiki, chat and video calls are connected to it; in-room meetings, board sessions and the microphone are greyed out and unconnected, and its coverage bar is just over half full.
With Explore
The same AI with all eight sources connected, spoken ones included, radiating outward, and its coverage bar full.

Five steps from recording to your AI

  1. Record or upload. Use the Good Tape app for meetings in the room and interviews in the field, a meeting integration for online meetings, or drop in existing audio and video files.
  2. Transcribe. You get a timestamped transcript with speaker labels, ready to edit.
  3. Index. Explore adds the transcript to your organization’s memory and clusters it by topic, project and person.
  4. Ask. Ask across everything shared with you, or narrow it to one Project. Every answer links to the recording and transcript it came from.
  5. Connect. Turn on the MCP Connector and Claude, ChatGPT or any assistant that supports MCP can search your own transcripts from inside the conversation. It is read-only, and off until you switch it on.

Already in use at this scale

  • 3 million

    people use Good Tape

  • 150+

    countries

Explore works on the transcriptions those people already make every day.

Four things we often hear

All four are fair. Here is what each one leaves out.

  • We already record our meetings and get summaries

For the meetings that happen online, probably. The interview in the field and the conversation across the desk never reach a meeting bot. Good Tape records both: offline with the recorder app, online through a meeting integration. It also brings in the files you already have, and takes audio straight from your own systems through the API.

  • Everyone has their own transcriptions already

They do, and every one of them stays private by default. The difference is what happens once someone chooses to share. Explore can surface what a colleague learned last spring at the moment it becomes relevant to the project you are working on now, without anyone knowing to go and look for it.

  • I can search my transcripts through my LLM

That works when you know which transcript to paste in. Explore searches everything shared with you at once, and every answer links back to the recording and transcript it came from, so you can check what was actually said. The recordings stay in the EU and are never used for training. If you would rather keep asking your own assistant, the MCP Connector lets it search your own transcripts directly.

  • Our meetings are too sensitive to sit in a shared system

That is the right instinct, and it is how Good Tape is built. A recording is private from the moment it is made, only its owner can open it, and sharing is a deliberate choice that can be undone at any time. Search runs across what has been shared, and work that must stay apart, such as a deal or an HR case, gets its own Project.

Privacy and Security

  • Zero training on your data Your recordings and transcripts are never used to train any model.

We never use your recordings, transcripts, or account content to train our AI models or anyone else's. We use your data for one thing: delivering your own transcription and Explore results.

  • EU hosting All infrastructure runs inside the EU.

We process and store your data only on servers inside the EU. It never leaves. Every subprocessor we use, and where it sits, is listed in our Data Processing Agreement.

  • End-to-end encryption Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

We encrypt your files and transcripts in transit with TLS 1.3, and at rest with AES-256. Encrypted from the moment they leave your device.

  • GDPR compliance Built to meet GDPR requirements by design.

We built and run Good Tape to GDPR requirements: your rights as a data subject, and a lawful basis for every kind of processing we do. We collect no data we do not need.

  • ISO 27001 Independently certified information security management.

We hold ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification, the international standard for information security management. Certified by TNV System Certification Pvt. Ltd. on 30 January 2026, valid through 29 January 2029, with recurring independent audits.

  • Data Processing Agreement (DPA) Signed Data Processing Agreements available for every customer.

Every customer can get a signed Data Processing Agreement. It states in writing how we process your data, how we protect it, and which subprocessors touch it.

  • Service Level Agreement (SLA) 98% uptime commitment with 48-hour support response times.

We guarantee 98% uptime of the core transcription service, measured over a rolling three-month period and backed by a documented SLA. You get a first response within 48 hours on business days, 72 hours at weekends. Critical incidents are resolved within 24 hours of acknowledgment.

Frequently asked questions

How do we record meetings that don’t happen online?

With the Good Tape app on your phone. Put it on the table and press record. It keeps recording in the background, saves as it goes, and uploads to your account as soon as it has a connection, so a meeting without wifi is not a problem. You can also drop in audio and video files you already have.

Does it work with ChatGPT or Claude?

Yes, through the MCP Connector. Turn it on in your settings and Claude, ChatGPT, Mistral or any assistant that supports MCP can search your own transcripts from inside the conversation. It is read-only, off by default, and sees only your own material, never a teammate’s. Once connected, the assistant’s own data terms apply to what it reads.

What happens to our knowledge if we stop using Good Tape?

Your transcripts and recordings stay exportable for as long as your account is open. Your files are stored securely and encrypted at rest within the EU for as long as you choose to keep them. You can delete any file at any time, and it is removed from all our systems, including backups, within 12 hours.

How accurate is it on real meeting audio?

Accuracy depends on the recording, not on marketing copy. Bring a sample from your own meetings to a demo and we will transcribe it in front of you, with speaker labels, so you can judge it on your own audio.

What happens to someone’s transcriptions when they leave the team?

Every user can always delete their own files and projects, so a person keeps control of their own material. Beyond that, we work with each customer to put the right mechanisms in place for when someone leaves a team, because retention rules differ and a single default would be wrong for most of you. Raise it during the sales conversation and we will go through your rules with you.
