Data subprocessors
(Updated Nov.19 2025)
- If you have questions regarding data subprocessor contact us here
- Below you will find the list of data subprocessors we currently use.
First tier
These are the companies that Good Tape directly uses to process data in order to deliver the product. They have a direct contractual relationship with Good Tape, and we control what they do, how they handle data, and under which security and privacy requirements.
These are the vendors that our first tier providers rely on. Good Tape does not contract with them directly, but they are still part of the processing chain because a first tier provider uses them to operate their own service.
They do not receive data from Good Tape intentionally, but may process data indirectly through the first tier provider’s infrastructure.
Google (EU): Processes transcriptions, and temporarily stores a copy of uploaded audio files while actively processing transcription, ensuring GDPR-compliant handling of personal data.
Azure (EU): In the event extraordinary scaling is needed; it processes transcriptions, and temporarily stores a copy of uploaded audio files while actively processing transcription, ensuring GDPR-compliant handling of personal data.
Supabase (EU): We use Supabase to securely log in our users. We also use their cloudbased secure databases.
Scaleway (EU): We use Scaleway to store your uploaded files, if you tell us to.
MongoDB (EU): We use MongoDB to efficiently manage and store your transcription editor state, ensuring high availability and performance.
Second tier
Chargebee (EU): Chargebee is a recurring revenue management platform. They handle our subscriptions solution.
Stripe Payments Europe (EU): We use Stripe to handle payment processing through Chargebee.
Brevo (EU): Brevo sends transactional and marketing emails for us, and in doing so access personal data like e-mails and names.
Posthog (EU): We use Posthog to collect data on page views and actions on goodtape.io, which we can use to analyze product usage, and in turn improve the product.
Google (EU): Google is our email service provider. When you send us an email, Google will be able to access your address. We might also use Google for general office reporting tools, which could involve aggregate data intelligence.
Hubspot (EU): We use Hubspot to keep track of existing and potential customers.
ChartMogul (EU): We use ChartMogul to aggregate, analyze, and visualize our subscription metrics.

Transparency first
At Good Tape, transparency is part of our DNA. We want you to know exactly how and where your data is handled when you use our transcription tool. That includes the third-party vendors (known as subprocessors) who help us deliver our service.
A subprocessor is any external company we work with that may process limited parts of your data in order to provide essential functionality for example, cloud hosting or secure storage. We carefully vet every subprocessor, require strict GDPR-compliant agreements, and monitor them on an ongoing basis to ensure they uphold the same security and privacy standards we set for ourselves.
How we manage subprocessors
- We only use EU based subprocessors when absolutely necessary to provide our service.
- Your files are never used for training AI models. Not by us, not by our subprocessors.
- We publish and update the list of subprocessors openly, so you always know who is involved.
- All subprocessors are bound by Data Processing Agreements (DPAs) that align with GDPR.

Security and compliance
At Good Tape, every transcript is secured with AES 256 encryption, TLS 1.3 in transit, and is fully GDPR compliant. We only use data subprocessors that use EU servers.
You can safely use Good Tape for sensitive interviews, legal work, or research knowing your data stays yours
